RandomTools.me provides useful, free online tools. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the website and what is stored when you choose to create an account or save information.

Information entered into tools

Information entered into ordinary browser-based tools is not stored in the RandomTools database unless the tool clearly includes an account-based save feature and you choose to use it. Tools such as the calculator, random color generator, temperature converter, URL encoder and decoder, CSS box-shadow generator, Lorem Ipsum generator and QR code generator process their normal inputs in your browser.

Files selected for browser-based conversion are processed on your device whenever the tool supports local conversion. RandomTools does not intentionally keep a copy of those files on its server.

Accounts and saved information

If you create an account, RandomTools stores the information needed to provide and secure it. This may include your name, email address, password hash, email-verification status, profile picture, preferences, login information and security timestamps. Passwords are stored as secure hashes rather than readable text.

When you are signed in and use a save-enabled tool, information you intentionally save—such as notes, tasks, calorie-diary entries, saved cities or other tool preferences—may be stored with your account so it can appear on your other signed-in devices.

External data providers

Some tools need outside services to produce a result. For example, city searches may be sent to location or weather providers, food searches may be sent to a nutrition database, and text submitted to the translator may be sent to a translation provider. Those services may process the submitted query under their own privacy policies. Do not submit confidential or highly sensitive information to tools that use an external provider.

Cookies and security

RandomTools uses essential session and sign-in cookies to keep accounts logged in, protect forms and provide account features. These cookies are not used to sell personal information. Reasonable security measures are used, but no website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data control and deletion

You can change supported profile settings and permanently delete your account from the account page. Deleting an account removes the account and associated saved tool data from the active database, except information that must temporarily remain in security logs or backups.

Changes to this policy

RandomTools will continue to add tools and account options. This policy may be updated when features or data practices change. The latest version and its update date will always be published on this page.
